How to: Pick a Bomb Lash Tech

So, you've decided to get lash extensions. Congratulations! You're one step closer to looking like a Victoria's Secret model from the moment you wake up. Just kidding, you're already a Victoria's Secret model. But truly, lash extensions do help you wake up ready to go. It's important to find a lash tech who's knowledgeable and experienced- you wouldn't want a car mechanic to do a hip replacement surgery, and you definitely wouldn't want an inexperienced, misinformed person working around your eyes! Here's some tips to help you find your best lash tech....

1. Ask for references! If you have and friends or family that receive lash extensions, observe theirs. Do their lashes seem a little... off? Do their lashes tend to fall out after only a few days? Do they complain about their lashes? Don't go to their tech. If their lashes are phenomenal, last a long time, and don't make their eyes look crazy, ask for their tech's number.

2. Make sure they're trained by a well known institution. Not all trainings were created equal, and the bigger lash training companies got big for a reason: they honed their classes and practice till they were efficiently cranking out confident, educated lash techs. Don't be afraid to ask where they were trained!

3. Look at pictures of their work! Skilled lash techs have no issue flaunting their work on social media and websites, for good reason. If your lash tech is sketchy about pictures or doesn't't want to show any, there is probably a reason why.

4. Products matter. Eyelash extensions are millimeters away from your eye, so you want to make sure you're getting the best products to limit chances or irritation. You want your lash tech to be using quality products sourced and created responsibly, no Chinese mink farms or Amazon Prime glue!

5. Your lash tech should be willing to sit down and talk you through the whole process and upkeep. You don't want a lash tech who gets irritated at questions, you want someone who warmly welcomes each question with thorough, informed answers.
